Why Askkim?

I am new at this blogging stuff, but I thought maybe I'd give it a whirl.  I am here to field questions on many different subject, and for those I know nothing about, maybe research or recommend a link for you

I worked in a hospital laboratory for 24 years, and for a pediatrician's office for 5.  I can answer some very basic questions in those arenas.  I've raised children along with my husband for 22 years, and have been married for going on 25 years.  I've had mostly cats over the years.

My basic tenant is there is no can't.  There is only won't.  I mean, yes, some very rare times there is "can't" but if its only 2 or 3 steps down the line, its a "won't".  Won't means don't, as in you don't get what you are trying to get.  My son could put this into some sort of mathematical formula I won't understand, but there it is.

I also do crocheting.  I'd say I can't knit, but again, it comes down to won't.  If I took the time to really try and follow the directions, I could, so I will say I won't do knitting right now.  One day, I hope to have a few hours and the ambition to learn coincide, and then I will knit.  I think that time may be coming soon.

I am a 52 yr old woman.  I DON'T discuss politics.  I will discuss religion, if you like.  My husband and I have 2 children, age 22 (girl) and 17 (boy).  I am slightly handicapped, but very hampered by pain.  I can't think of  anything else to share at the moment.  Maybe in the next entry.  I can be funny, I'm told.  I guess we'll see, huh?
